- Phelps01.Dec 2016
The following benefits were offered to me
- CitySanta Monica
- Are you a Current or Former Employee?Former job since 2016
- DepartmentMarketing/product management
Most team members are friendly and were open to social outings.
Leader at the time seemed biased as he/she favored an account they were leading prior to their promotion.
At the time, the dept was attempting an agile workflow. The transition could have been planned more efficiently.
Open communication was commendable.
A good percentage of the team are seasoned agency vets. 'Lifers' fill the halls and cubicles. Loyal and comfortable would be a nice adjective. Most clients have been with Phelps for over 7+ years.
Not an agency that will push the envelope in terms of technologies and relevant marketing techniques. Clients are conservative and in most cases did not need the cutting edge tools.
Fair. Typical benefits.
As with any agency, the more accounts you were on, the more your workload.
Seemed to be transition period for the agency. At the time, Phelps was trying to revamp image to a more relevant processes, younger demo and moving towards current digital trends. Unfortunately management conflicted with other account leaders which hindered the moral.
Again, the transition to bring in more challenging clients such as automotive was difficult. In addition, other account pitches at the time unfortunately did not pan out.
Type of accounts are respectable but not groundbreaking. Creative executions weren't challenging due to lackluster client. Could not practice best in class relevant techniques due to creative limitation requirements.
Unfortunately not due to conversation accounts.
The team members were great. Most clients support great causes.
At the time, management. Biased opinion and conflicts with other acct leaders. Weren't open to allowing creatives to help other accts.
