It's a seasonal job, you're just a number and always will be regardless of how hard you work.
Support from management
There came many times when I needed the company to back myself up when making certain quality control calls on jobs. There was no support to be found.
Often times there would be 14 hour days if not longer during the summer. I had sun poisoning at one point during the summer and was expected to keep working regardless.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better management, better bidding department, the company lost MANY jobs near asphalt plants because they were just bidding too high. If they don't make 1 million per job they aren't doing it.
What I like about the company
Many hours, wasn't afraid to spend money if you needed something to do a job right.
What I dislike about the company
Poor managment. "Snap shot" management that would just poke their head in once a week and would base everything upon that one visit. Sick? Get over it you're not calling out.
