What I like about the company
Pillar College offers an agressively Christian learning environment for students based on a born-again Methodist outlook which can be supportive for students seeking such an environment and culture to belong to and to grow in.
What I dislike about the company
Pillar makes a great noise about its Christian values, but it fails to act with Christian compassion in giving Adjunct Faculty minimum hours of work, reliable work schedules, work rights or decent treatment when budget convenience leads them to abandon them outright. Employees must sign an oath to conform to a rigid Christian ideology and code of conduct, and an agreement for arbitration of disputes without choice of an impartial arbitrator. There is no union representation and the religious nature of the instution is hostile to organizing for workers' rights.
