Campus director for Albuquerque West and now Albuquerque campus allows unethical behavior. If it is questioned in any way you are pushed out. Exclusionary behavior and cliques are allowed to thrive and only those employees who are the favorites are valued.
Support from management
Management only support the favorites, which all were "yes" employees and did whatever they were told even if it was unethical.
Only department leads and management worked together. If you did not have a title, your opinion, concerns, or ideas were not valued.
Freedom to work independently
I enjoyed working with students and liked that we could bring our own ideas to the classroom.
I could not trust management. I would go to my campus director with legitimate concerns and was never listened to. I would pay with being retaliated against.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I overheard an older Instructor be referred to as "dead weight" from management.
Overall compensation for your work
I would have given 5 stars if I was valued.
Office / Work Environment
Campus culture was "friendly" on the outside but inside culture was very hostile and toxic.
Inclusive / Diverse
Exclusionary behavior was allowed to thrive.
Suggestions for improvement
- Take the time to listen to your employees. Value ALL employees not just the favorites.
