Absolutely not, once a year at a very limited christmas party you will probably get a very perfunctory thank you which is always insincere by the very demeanor of the CEO
Preponderance of women employees and therefore a lot of backstabbing.Also the CEO who manages EVERYTHING chooses favorites and then they can do no wrong.
Freedom to work independently
If you are willing to do most of the work, other employees will sit around and do nothing.
only the minimal information that you must have to do your job-again because the CEO does not ever DELEGATE!
Attitude towards older colleagues
OLder employees are on the back burner- if you are there for a long period of time the attitude seems to be that you do not need appreciation.
Again if you happen to be chosen by the CEO as a favorite then any extra training you request is granted ,even days off with pay to study for exams. If, however you are not one of the favorites then nothing that you request,even if it is relevant to the mission of the institution, will be denied, unless you pay for it yourself.
Overall compensation for your work
A state representative that continually came in to observe aand evaluate the conduct of the facility commented on the fact that this institution paid the lowest salaries in the state,especially for professional employees.
Grumbling about the total management was always thed main conversation of the day.
In the beginning I was a lot more secure;then when other newer employees were hired that were the chosen ones.and the favoritism by thge CEO became more and more blatant,job security was more of a threat.
whatever is mandated by the state is in compliance.
Suggestions for improvement
- Replace the current administrator with someone who is professional,couteous and most of all fair and even in the management procedures.
What I like about the company
The mission of the national organization;however the local franchise is extremely poorly run
What I dislike about the company
Unprofessional administration,even as far as humiliation in front of peers on more than one occasion. Upon complaint of same to the origination executive the reply was,"Well, I presumed that because you made humor of those disabilities , then it was acceptable for me to do the same publicly".
