Problems are blamed unfairly on people that don't have adequate help. Each manager gives different instructions and will not supply the needed supplies to do a job.
Support from management
This could be a good company however there is no communication, management is condescending and there is no training whatsoever.
Many employees are rude to each other and try to hurt others in attempts to further themselves.
Freedom to work independently
Some properties have adequate help but others are severely understaffed.
Communication is not good at all, manages give differing instructions and also do not give consistent information. Follow up to emails, requests to call tenants and without notice or information policies sometimes change in an hourly basis but there is no consistency and employers are regularly belittled because they don't follow policies that they were never made aware of.
Employees are treated very differently, obvious favoritism is shown. Some employees are degraded and feel that they could lose their job at any time. Employees positions change without warning, sometimes resulting in lower pay.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Seasoned employees are not valued, there is a huge turnover, rather than offer promotions outside people are hired and no posting is offered beforehand to allow current employees to fill the positions.
Classes are not offered and outside employees are hired, this makes it almost impossible to grow in the company.
Overall compensation for your work
There is a marked difference in pay for those with similar experience and qualification. Some people are reviewed yearly based on their start date while other are made to wait months after when the review should be. A couple of months before a review is supposed to happen upper management employees are at times unfairly criticized and belittled, causing review to be unfair and that leads to no raise. Months before the employee had been told they were doing a fantastic job.
Office / Work Environment
Employers require management to clean mold and roaches.
There are did drives but there have been instances of the food remaining at properties for months on end. When questioned upper management generally doesn't reply it if they do they will start that they will distribute to food pantries and never do.
Time of requests are frowned on. If an employee has remaining time at the end of the year they are encouraged to lose the time, past it fit remaining vacation days does not happen, it is a use it or lose it policy.
Tenants are very unhappy, pest control issues are not handled correctly, they are given notice to leave a couple of months after complaints and proper maintenance of building is not done leading to apartments that have severe mold issues, leaks and drafts between walls which make certain rooms uninhabitable.
Most people do not feel secure in their jobs the company would rather hire and then get rid of seasoned employees in the hope of saving money.
Owners do not follow up with requests.
People are required to show apartments after dark by themselves, car theft, shootings, drug traffic.
