Since November 3, 2010 there has been nothing but mistrust. People are treated poorly and no real people skills at the head of operations. Culture of fear has been created on both the hourly and salary side.
Support from management
Complete lack of leadership at the Executive level. Company goals come from the Production Manager's up to the Executive level.
The level of teamwork achieved was at the Production Manager and below. Too many silo's at the executive level to foster teamwork.
Freedom to work independently
The work load was evenly distributed some manager's had multiple business unit's while others had hardly any area of responsibility.
Company did not support training initiatives for employee improvement.
Overall compensation for your work
Company salary ranges are below the average for the area. When you add the 12hr days and working weekends once a month your salary rate is much smaller.
The company only supports fair trade when it benefits the company
There is no work life balance. They expect you to work 12 hours plus each day due to not having enough management personnel to run production. When you take vacation they still call you about issues that were covered in detailed instructions before you left. Expected to work weekends when there is already a Supervisor working. Have to duplicate the supervisor's efforts by creating a meaningless micromanagement report for the head of operations.
In the last 5 years the company has not had a very favorable image with its employees or in the community.
No job security due to the culture created by the head of operations.
Had a very high level of Quality on everything that was produced from my business units.
Suggestions for improvement
- They have lost sight of how important the people who work there are to the success of the company.
What I like about the company
Before November 3, 2010 we had difficult times but we worked hard as a group to overcome them.
What I dislike about the company
Since November 3, 2010 the culture was changed from one of process improvement to one of fear and high turnover rate.
