Company Culture

You are just a number.

Support from management

Some supervisors were wonderful, but senior management is awful.

Teamwork

Worked in a small group/department and had to do extra work for lazy people that called in all the time and senior management did nothing, they even gave her an extra vacation.

Freedom to work independently

Working from Home was great.

Internal Communication

HR is the worst, after 10 years I couldn't even get someone to help me find a job when we had to re-locate - there is no transfer policy.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I had a position where we only went in 1 day a month....a month... and when my family had to move to FL (still in company footprint). I could not retain my position...10 years with company.

Career Development

I went for a LP job in FL having (4 years in a branch and 4 years in Fraud Enterprise) and lost to an Assistant Branch Manager who happened to have same last name as someone big in the company.

Overall compensation for your work

In 2015 they let employees know how underpaid we were compared to other banks with a new pay scale...and then never changed us to match our new pay rate.

Office / Work Environment

Working from Home was great.

Work-Life Balance

Working from Home was great.

Company Image

Nice products

Job Security

Just hope your family doesn't have to re-locate, even inside the PNC Bank footprint..say goodbye to your job.

Inclusive / Diverse

PNC Employee Resource Groups for Women, LGBT, etc. was nice.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Re-Locate - If you have someone in a department already working from home and their family has to re-locate. If the new area is in the PNC Bank footprint, let the employee keep his/her position. There are plenty of branches/towers they can go to for issues...it is 2018. HR - When an employee contacts you with questions about a job, esp if they have a month to find one to retain a 10 year career with your company...respond to the email and help. Pay - If you have the guts to tell us in black and white how little we get paid to other banks....fix it. That is just rude.

Company Culture

The environment and culture is great !

Support from management

Everyone is different, each manager has there own flavor. I never persoanlly had an issue with any boss but definitly liked some more than others!

Teamwork

For the most part I enjoyed every team I had the pleasure of being involved with.

Freedom to work independently

Once trained and comfortable with your tasks. You are able to work without all eyes on you!

Internal Communication

Not a huge fan of the way PNC's HR department handles employee exiting. As soon as you leave the job the standard of customer and or employee care goes down the drain which is unfortunate.

Gender Equality

From what I've experienced gender equality exists there!

Attitude towards older colleagues

Everyone has one from time to time but more positivite thab negative!

Career Development

They offer courses and trainings ... its a great starting job but not career worthy unless you start way above entry level. There's advancing and promotions but you're never really compensated for your work they keep you in a salary bracket and try not to exceed that.

Overall compensation for your work

In all honesty I don't believe the employees are paid fairly, but favor isn't fair

Office / Work Environment

Work environments are accomadating and clean .

Environmental Friendliness

People were friendly for the most part like i said previously no matter where you work there will always be that one

Work-Life Balance

PNC is great with work-life balance. Each and every manager or supervisor I had was leanant with life outside work and compassionate!

Company Image

Great company image

Job Security

Great company with protecting your job managers are always willing to assist

Handicapped Accessibility

The buildings I worked in were all handicapped accessable!

Workplace Safety

Ran through multiple scenerios and exits - PNC does take pride in employee safety!

Challenging Work

I believe anyone with drive can take on most positions in the company easily

Inclusive / Diverse

PNC is a very diversed and cultured company

Suggestions for improvement

  • Employee exit was horrible - i did not enjoy speaking with jasmine from HR . I felt like since I was no longer an employee her professionalism and curtesy went out the window .

What I like about the company

The buildings are beautiful the environment is always important

What I dislike about the company

The salary. I've been a loyal employee for over 5 yrs and stayed under 29k . Hated to leave but wasn't be compensated for my work and dedication. Just felt like a number.

Company Culture

Backstabbing, old-school, cronyism, and dishonesty.

Support from management

Management cares about management. That is it.

Freedom to work independently

They frown on new ideas.

Internal Communication

Secrets and gossiping are how business at PNC really works.

Attitude towards older colleagues

The people with "tenure" from PNC are the "untouchables". Whether they have gone mad and lost all sense of reality, they cannot be disciplined by anyone. HR is worthless. Allowing them to go undisciplined is making them more miserable people and more gutsy and bold.

Career Development

Performance reviews are subjective, dishonest, have no integrity, not used as designed, slanderous, and inaccurate for everyone except 5% of the company. When inquiring and not accepting your "medicine" graciously, you get slammed even more. Kills your spirit outright as they are designed around how much money they have allocated for pay raises.

Overall compensation for your work

Raises do not even meet the cost of living increase.

Environmental Friendliness

People are people. There are people who have suffered greatly (overworked, underpaid, not recognized, bullied) for this company and nothing changes. These people are nice as they understand what a horrible situation they are in.

Work-Life Balance

Non-existent.

Company Image

They try to put on a good public image, however the people that work there know it is all smoke and mirrors.

Job Security

Backstabbing and pointing fingers is how business at PNC Financial operates. If the customer knew how PNC treated their employees, they would abandon ship.

Challenging Work

Your work your butt off and get nothing in return but a paycheck. Promotions are saved for a select few and don't make sense most of the time, raises are practically non-existent, and you feel like you are stuck in a dead end job very quickly with your soul sucked out of you.

Suggestions for improvement

  • When you preach to your people to "always do the right thing" and make them sign ethics statements that are very detailed in how to behave, make it fair that everyone has to abide by the same rules.

What I like about the company

Everything people hate about corporate America is encapsulated in this company. It is easily used as catch all to compare apples to apples when looking at other companies. "How do they compare to PNC Financial?", "Really? Not as bad?"

What I dislike about the company

Just stay clear of this company...
