Trust is non existent at this company, as adults we are frequently treated like children. There is little autonomy or self control over how you complete your work. There is no participation in company events, there are minimal company events. For example, the holiday party is during the work day and after it is done you are expected to go back to work - same with the holiday picnic. Family is not welcome. There is never alcohol. Little is done to boost employee moral or to appreciate employees. The politics at Praxair are very intense and dominate the aspect of having fun at work - if you're having fun you're not working. Another example is when there are professional development meetings or Lunch & Learns, or training frequently you have to bring your own lunch "BYOL" or they are scheduled at 1PM so lunch won't have to be provided. It's a very cheap company in terms of benefits and employee perks.
Support from Management
Transparency & Communication do not exist. There are good managers, but an equal amount of negative managers. The negative managers continue to get promoted regardless of employee feedback or performance. The company is terrified of being sued or upsetting status quo.
