Employees don't like

The hours are a bit much and very little has been done to change that despite many promises. In order to achieve a healthy work/life balance, management needs to lead by example and show that it really supports this initiative. This is probably the number one issue for most employees.
There is such a thing as "too much culture." When it interferes with the quality of actual work, it's a problem.

Not a ton of structure, so have to be willing to jump in and think strategically on your own. You're truly part of a fast growing company in a fast paced environment - this is both amazing (you get to be a part of something exciting and feel like you're really contributing) and sometimes draining (will always be held accountable for your work, good and bad, and expected to go 100% at all time).
Perhaps we could slow down just a wee bit every now and then. Lack of structure can trip one up a little, as well, but I'm sure we'll suss that out as we grow.
At times long work hours, but its PR/Advertising so its kind of normal.

Suggestions for improvement

Perhaps a more robust management structure (providing more people with a manager who is 100% in their own office). That being said, not everyone feels they need this. I also believe that an internal HR department would benefit the company greatly (we currently use an external vendor who is known to be quite iffy - and getting questions asked is inherently more difficult due to that process).
Honest to god there's not much they could do better. I wish my past six bosses would all take lessons from these folks. (Seven bosses ago, my first real job---those people were good.)
Support all departments as well as PR.
Improve the work/life balance.

If you're looking for a 9-5, keep looking. That being said, people at Praytell are generally the type that *like* to work hard and feel invested in their work and company.
We have unlimited vacation time because they trust that we won't abuse it, and everyone does a great job with it.
Unlimited vacation policy, but all within reason. Team works hard, can have late nights, but its the same as any other place.

Only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is that I haven't been at the agency long enough to grow!
It is loosely defined, but access to supervisors for more guidance is always available. They do a lot of knowledge share internally
