Suggestions for improvement
- Better train people to be managers rather than the generic HE training. Actually work one on one skill building. Most of my issues result from management not wanting to deal. They have a fear of things being elevated and how the upper management will respond. For instance, there was an issue with my manager that made me uncomfortable. I went to speak with their manager and was instructed I could not speak with them without airing the issue with my manager first. I was uncomfortable telling my manager he was being sexist and had tried to find subtly to no avail. In the end nothing happened because I didn't want to lodge a formal complaint with HR.
What I like about the company
It's a true family atmosphere where everyone, including management, are supportive of both professional and personal achievements as well as struggles.
What I dislike about the company
At times, they can put their head in the sand and ignore personnel issues.
