Terrible at this particular organization. Integrity is terrible. There are "groups" with their own agendas and they are often able to pursue those agendas successfully despite what is best for the entire organization or despite what corporate direction may be. Corporate management likely does not hear the truth as some of the worst leaders are championed by corporate.
Support from management
No. The priorities change frequently. It is follow the leader vs. follow the business goals as directed by corporate. The organization does not plan for change well (e.g. attrition) leaving gaps in knowledge and skills.
An unhealthy undercurrent with loss of integrity. There are a few "workers" and too many goofing off but not held accountable. Employees can stay for years as poor performers. New employees with drive to do the work often leave due to the barriers. There are pockets of areas in the organization with good teamwork, but in general it is not good.
Freedom to work independently
There is some level of autonomy in some of the work and some of the positions.
A lot of useless meetings when corporate has clearly directed the company to not do this. A one-time event (VIP visit) can cause chaos for daily work and there are a lot of one-time events (lack of planning and lack of communication).
Attitude towards older colleagues
The older, experienced workers are not used as a resource nearly enough. Too late because attrition has removed that opportunity.
Poor overall. Performance reviews are not done well or not at all and the work system is not understood or executed well.
Overall compensation for your work
Compensation very good in relation to comparable employers.
Office / Work Environment
The environment is good most of the time, but sometimes bathrooms shut down, temperature control is poor. The company recently made changes to contract services (e.g. AC) which has caused problems in the services provided. Long-time relationships with contractors had to be terminated to comply with the new way.
Some progress here.
The company plans and benefits have improved tremendously for work-life balance. There is still pressure to get the work done. Organization is not healthy enough to deliver consistency when some employees are away from work for leave. Employees who are away from work - often have fear of reaction of co-workers because they are gone and causing extra work for others.
Corporately, has a good image. Locally, not as good. Company rarely gets involved in the the local community events citing company values, yet micro-groups get involved in small events to further their agendas.
It is a corporate world-wide company so if the local organization fails, there is likely transfer or fair exit opportunities.
Definitely challenging, but the results have struggled in past few years so - proud - no.
Inclusive / Diverse
There are diversity values, diversity training and diversity teams/groups. Is everyone respected - resounding no.
