Suggestions for improvement

  • Focus on talent building programs. Offer more or better insurance options. Put more money towards wages and less towards food and incentives.

What I like about the company

Cares for employees. Provides a lot of free food. Incentive programs to win money, vacations and swag.

What I dislike about the company

Wage gap between leadership and employees. Wages are too low for both but leaders are only making 1-2 dollars more an hour than employees.
Healthcare costs are expensive and benefits are low.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would change the all the factors you have to meet to make money some of these are out of your control and can effect your paycheck also there needs to be certain amount of sick leave for people per quarter in case people need to take a day and it shouldn't cost them any points as long as its not abused

Company Culture

The staff for the most part are very upbeat and supportive, lots of morale boosters and enough food "days" are there to keep the floor happy and upbeat.

Support from management

See "Internal Communication" ... Management stress teamwork, but will get in your face if you are NOT being "as productive" as the duty calls. Remember, it's YOUR team against the others.. So these coaches only have one thing in mind - "Winning!"

Teamwork

At least they stress team work.. Why? Because it's "your" team against all the other teams on the floor. Plus there are personal and team incentives for the best producers.

Freedom to work independently

NO, you are being constantly being monitored by both supervisors and company quality control "COPS." It's like they are waiting for you to make a mistake.. then POW!

Internal Communication

There is no true internal communication, though they may make it seem like it with their "my door is open for you at any time!" Yes, the door is open, but not the ear of the listener. Goes in one ear and out the other. But for "logistics" sake, they make it known.

Gender Equality

Yes, this company is good for that. All have equal access to both acknowledgement and promotion. They are good on that, incentives are a plus, IF you are a great performer.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Yes, it's a family environment for the most part, friendships are strong all around. Respect is given AND expected. No "age" battle or disrespect. All are treated as equals.

Career Development

You only get ONE TIME to train. Then you are on the floor. The training gets you ready to hit the floor. One thing though: They don't prepare you for the real truth - Deception!

Overall compensation for your work

Very misleading. The job posts a $14 an hour guarantee, but doesn't say anything about a $2 reduction once you hit the floor and a "you're fired" if you don't meet the quota.

Office / Work Environment

Don't like the work environment. Too many expectations. The best part of this ENTIRE operation was the training. The trainers were very engaging, welcoming, and helpful. After you hit the floor, all that is OVER! In this company, "QUOTAS beat COMPASSION" It's cut-the-throat of the other team, and the customer, whether they can afford it or not. This built negative, team-against-team or else, mindset. No one is trying to get fired for "losing" to the other team- as you are seen as the "weakest" link if your scores are lower than the others for the TOTAL team "ranking!" Yes, they displayed the teams and their "RANKING" so everyone knew who was the top or @ the bottom!

Environmental Friendliness

Cleanest bathrooms ever. Most stalls I have ever seen in a workplace. LOTS of room in the company "refrigerator" about 100 feet of that. The maintenance kept the place spic-n-span!

Work-Life Balance

Yeah, your schedule is good, and they have overtime if you want it.

Company Image

Lexington Law is known for one of the best if NOT the best for taking care of customers with bad credit. But it's waaaay too expensive to do this for customers.

Job Security

See above.. YOU MUST hit quota. You are NOT told this at the beginning. You are told, "Don't worry, 'no one' gets fired here!" That's a lie and a BIGGER LIE if someone tells you different. If you don't hit quota for YOUR TEAM, you are considered a SLACKER, and constantly in "coaching" sessions.

Handicapped Accessibility

Just the front door entrance was good for that, no where else in the building. Badge access will UNLOCK the door but not open up for handicapped individuals.

Workplace Safety

For the most part that was taken care of. No hazard zones, and if there were, it was MARKED by warning signs waaaay before you got to the hazard area.

Challenging Work

The entire operation is to help people with their credit problem. The "problem" with that is the CUSTOMER has "no idea" why they are on the phone with you. The customer is cold transferred from a 3rd party whom the customer called about getting a loan from (auto, personal, etc.). The person then is transferred (unawares) to us, and we are to talk them into getting a "free" credit check, which is true. HOWEVER, MY job is to get the customer to commit to a contract of $120 a month fee to get the total package with us through our company, "LEXINGTON LAW" dba as "Progrexion."

Once they committ to that, we sign them up to get the customer their FULL Credit report from the 3 top credit bureaus. Though, legit in the LEGAL aspect of what we do, it's "HOW" we do it ===> By deceit and unmerciful convincing.

Most of thee potential clients are either, broke, homeless, divorced, bankrupt, etc.. who ONLY want to get a loan. But they are convinced to speak to "someone who will 'help' them get..." what they are looking for - That loan.

It's wrong deceptive practices that caused me to leave the company. Supervisors want you to LIE to the customer to get the business. Nope! I Won't do it!

Inclusive / Diverse

Lots of different people, with different cultural and demographic backgrounds. Makes it very unique to get to know alot about others.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Be Upfront from the beginning of the interview. Give not only the expectations of the attitude of the applicant, but the expectations on the floor. Tell them that it's $14 during training but $12 after training plus commission with a 90 probation of making their commission against the $12 WITH TERMINATION if this quota is NOT met within 90 days and after 4 coaching sessions for not meeting the quota.. DO THIS IN THE INTERVIEW, NOT after they get on the floor.

What I like about the company

My co-workers, dining area (really large like a "food court" size), the events they always had. I really cared about my customers, so I did like trying to help those who seriously wanted help with their credit. However, I hated to being "FORCED" to only offer them the largest credit package, rather than helping them get their credit fixed at the price they truly could afford. Remember, "QUOTAS beat COMPASSION" with this company!

What I dislike about the company

Dishonesty! The upper management went through 3 Senior management changes in the time that I was there. NO ONE can be trusted. It's cut-throat supervisors that bring in the most friction on the teams. Supervisors do NOT care about you, they only care about WINNING and beating out the other supervisor. If that supervisor does not make their numbers, they are FIRED and another replaces them.. This is NOT good for the team who has built a relationship with their supervisor only to start over!

What I like about the company

Working here has made me independent. At 22 I have bought my own home and 2 cars. They drive performance with huge prize giveaways. I have won $500, even an expensive grill. Good work environment

Company Culture

They play games for paceos but only if you get closes. What about third party? Why don't they reward for third party?

Support from management

They need to be more understanding when someone is sick. They just say hang in there and ignore you.

Teamwork

They say I do your best and try on every call but then they send emails saying if your numbers aren't above 0.95 you will have to go into the office to work. Yet the company got rid of numbers years ago and just want p in pace calls.

Freedom to work independently

They do a point system to give warnings and eventually termination. I hate the point system because if you call in sick it is two points.

Internal Communication

I think communication should be more explicit. They said that every eight extra hours you work, you get a point knocked off. That was not the case.

Gender Equality

I don't think equality is taking place because part time people and full time people have to make up eight hours of time they missed in the week. If someone who works five hours should only have to make up five hours not eight.

They don't care about age.

Career Development

They tell you what you are doing wrong and how to do it their way.

Overall compensation for your work

Pay us not good unless you are doing extremely well and can get bonuses. Part time is hard to make ends meet.

I love working at home but don't like the office environment. It makes me nervous.

Work-Life Balance

They don't like you taking time off. Especially the sales coaches because they don't get high numbers.

Image is well done for the company. They are good at disguising things and are very disorganized.

Too many points gets you terminated. How is that job security?

Easy access to the office. Most agents work at home so very nice and easy to access their own stuff. Best part of the job is staying at home.

Micromanagement is extreme. Some supervisors are often insulting employees (in jest, but )

High stress environment. Little tolerance for mistakes, and a lot of tasks are hurry up and wait.

Overall compensation for your work

Great Compensation. Lots of snacks and lunches provided. Medical benefits have a lot to be desired.

Work-Life Balance

You are always working, with a lot of overtime. You are expected to drop everything and fix an issue when it happens even when you aren't on-call. If you aren't on-call or using a vacation day and don't answer your phone, you are talked to for not being available.

Suggestions for improvement

  • More IT staff to make more realistic workload, and give people time off when they take it. Give approval spending limits to lower management.

What I like about the company

Pay, meals, snacks, Most coworkers are great. Bonuses, and raises are common. Holiday parties.

What I dislike about the company

Always working even on "days off". Micromanagement, (ALL purchases require CIO approval. Yes that includes small purchases like office supplies). Belittlement from management.

What I like about the company

Connexion Point is a fantastic place to learn/hone valuable sales skills. They have a lot of fun and make sure that you're recognized for your efforts. Sales reps are paid well for their work/success.
