I like about the employer
Competitive salary and benefits. Opportunity to provide suggestions from an employee standpoint. Free coffee.
I dislike about the employer
Company's sole focus is on profit and achieving an extraordinary premium goal each month in order to appease backers and go public. Company culture is difficult to build positive employee morale, lacking engagement communication, no appreciation or holiday celebratory events, business professional dress at all times, mandatory overtime, high turnover, etc. "Unlimited" PTO offer does not promote work/life balance due to no back-ups in place because of poor management planning and lack of headcount. Changes are made too fast on a reactionary basis rather than overall solution planning. Training is all "on-the-job" with no solid mentorship or formal processes, yet employees are drilled to become work horses and micro-managed right down to restroom breaks.
