Compensates people fairly for the work they do. I work in the ER, can be very busy/big psych population :(.
I've worked for this hospital for over a quarter of a century. It used to be a center of excellence but now it's just grind out as many patients as you can, per day. My charge nurse literally has an application that looks at overall productivity, for the
Support from management
I tend to pick up more night shifts because this doesn't happen.
This is more self driven than management driven. There are rampant problems with attendance, minimum shift task requirements, etc that have not been addressed either due to lack of time or lack of oversight by low to mid level management.
Freedom to work independently
I have to give them this one, they do put a lot of trust in me to work independently. The nurses have a lot more accountability and I've seen some dubious terminations.
Hospital consistently refuses to listen to employee feedback and policies/procedures are implemented from the corporate level. Hospital consistently refuses to make available online forums for the improvement of the medical center.
no problems here
Attitude towards older colleagues
educational hours have been on the chopping block even for nurses lately. My last two inquiries to expand the job position to meet state allowances for my particular license for scope of practice were denied.
Overall compensation for your work
I believe I do get compensated well for the work I do.
Office / Work Environment
I always run a little hot, that's not their fault.

I used to feel a lot better than I do now about my employer.
I tried retiring once and here I am, back again.
Definitely more training needed here. I haven't taken a disaster protocol class in over 15 years.
It can be challenging at times, don't get me wrong. The more challenging it is, the more I forget about management and have a better day.
Inclusive / Diverse
opinions only supported if they are lockstep with government regulations.
Suggestions for improvement
- -Make a list of upper management and their responsibilities. Figure out who the hospital can let go, and let them go. -Evidence based research. The facility claims to embrace it until you bring them some to address any particular topic. They will then rev
What I like about the company
I've worked for this hospital for 26 years now, from the medical floors, to the CICU, to the ER. This employer paid me well enough that my house is now paid off. I work for travel and steak money. My co-workers are great, some of them I even go hiking wit
What I dislike about the company
-Upper management. They have a long, long history of budgeting for consulting companies to come and address problems that should have been addressed by management. For example, how do we increase throughput? I don't know how many millions or (or consultin
