Providence Health experience report

  • Employee

I felt it was a great place to work. It had good facilities and was a job where I was making a difference for people.

4.61

Company Culture

It was good. I think it was pretty positive although I didn't really enjoy my job all that much because I had to do stuff I wasn't really hired for. I did like the people and the facilities.

Support from management

It seemed to be.

Teamwork

I think we had a good work group.

Freedom to work independently

I was given tasks and allowed to do them as I felt they should be done.

Internal Communication

I found that information was freely shared.

Gender Equality

I rated a 4 only because I'm not a woman so I don't know for sure. But it seemed good.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I didn't notice anything that made me think otherwise.

Career Development

I wasn't there long enough to determine.

Overall compensation for your work

It seemed to be at the time.

Office / Work Environment

The facilities were good. And they were upgrading things all over.

Environmental Friendliness

recycling always available, separation of trash and recyclables and green buildings being put up.

Work-Life Balance

Was pretty good but it probably could have been better.

Company Image

At the time I was employed there I was.

Job Security

I no longer work there so no idea.

Handicapped Accessibility

Rated a 4 because I'm not handicapped and I think the facilities were accessible but never noticed.

Workplace Safety

I didn't notice otherwise.

Challenging Work

The work was extremely challenging. I had some pretty intense projects which made me be very creative in order to accomplish the results that were needed.

Inclusive / Diverse

Ideas seemed to be welcome.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Better communication up front about ALL job duties and make sure potential hires understand.

What I like about the company

I had the opportunity to create a new sale system for a cancer support center at a hospital and it was incredibly fun and rewarding. I had the task to create this system as a temporary solution for them until the new POS was going to be ready but it was fun to find out that the people using my temp solution wanted to keep it permanently.

What I dislike about the company

They weren't all that good at letting me know what I would be doing as the major part of my job. So, what I thought I would be doing wasn't really what I was hired for as a main part. So, that was one part I didn't like. However the rest was good.
