Suggestions for improvement

  • Allow PICAA to raise funds to help care for their clients. With more money we can have more staff to meet the ever increasing needs of our clients. We are incredibly short staff. We see more clients then many other centers, yet we have about half of their staff. Even if we could get some of the money Providence raises for women healthcare to help the women we see or some of the money they raise with Children's Hospital to care for the children we see would help. We see men, women and children after they have been abused, usually by someone they love and trust and yet we are to care for them on a shoe string because no one wants to acknowledge the cruelty of one human to another.

What I like about the company

The Manager of PICAA and all staff at PICAA are knowledgeable and supportive. All understand the importance of the work we do and the toll it can take on each of us. The staff are the most dedicated people who will go the extra mile to help men, women and children who have been abused.

What I dislike about the company

The Executive branch isn't always the most supportive. They give give good lip service to supporting the community but they're not always supportive of the most vulnerable when it's most needed. PICAA staff care for men, women and children who have been abused and at times the Executive branch of Providence Healthcare appear to want to distance themselves and get rid of PICAA.
