Coworkers seem to work well together as a good team and management/owner tries to make sure the customers are well taken care of and happy with their services.
Support from management
The support from management is good, it’s just very difficult to get in to speak with them because there’s not enough management for the amount of employees they are in charge of.
Things seem to move smoothly from customer Service all through the billing process.
Freedom to work independently
This is one of the best aspects of this company. You are given your assignments and are trusted to be responsible enough to do the work without needing to be micromanaged.
Management communicates well with employees
The workplace is predominantly female so I would say that’s not an issue.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There is wide range in the ages of the employees and it seems like everyone is treated the same.
You will be able to learn and grow in your experience but there’s not really any chance in getting a hire position because there’s not many to fill.
Overall compensation for your work
Some people are and some do the work of 2 or 3 people but aren’t compensated for the extra loads they are asked to take on.
Office / Work Environment
It’s an office so temperature is always an issue with some people...either too cold of too hot. Cubicles are good sized and computers are working at every desk with plenty access to printers.
There’s no recycling done there.
There could be a little more flexibility when it comes to the strict 8 to 5 hours. There is a good amount of vacation/personal time with your benefit package.
It’s a great company that cares about the patients and the quality of the products they provide to them.
There’s plenty of work to keep you busy but it’s well known that everyone is replaceable.
Yes. It’s a DME Company that rents and sells power wheelchairs, standard wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and other medical equipment.
Yes, there are numerous inspections done all year so that they stay compliant with state and federal regulations
Customer relations is always challenging. Working with insurance companies is a challenge but it’s a good feeling knowing you have helped someone get the things they need and their bills are getting paid so they don’t have to worry if they can keep the things they need.
Inclusive / Diverse
Ultimately things will be done how the owner says even when you are asked about your views.
Suggestions for improvement
- Some little changes like have a jeans day on payday or something to boost the moral in the employees and their work would improve.
What I like about the company
Employees are able to work somewhat independently and most don’t work weeekends.
What I dislike about the company
No flexibility with working hours. The feeling that no matter the quantity or quality of your work there was no feeling of accomplishment.
