No trust in upper management. Hr and senior managers work together to hire and fire. Make terrible decisions for departments and expect others to pick up the slack.
Support from management
Very disorganized management hierarchy where those they like are promoted whether they are qualified for the job or not. Hard work gets you nowhere with the majority of management.
Teamwork is not encouraged, individual goals are promoted instead and true teamwork is practically nonexistent. Most employees tear down each other in an effort to get the special promotions that often occur.
Freedom to work independently
Not evenly distributed, work is placed on those who are able to do it while unqualified or lazy employees consistently see their work load reduced.
No feedback unless you mess something up. Have rarely seen accommodations even when records are set.
Women are equally represented amongst middle management to lower staff.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Does not show loyalty to loyal staff and continues to hire young people who do not take the job seriously and cater to their many needs only for them to quit or be fired shortly after.
You will not get further training unless you are a favorite to a member of the management staff. Instead they often leave very qualified staff in set positions.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay is good and benefits are pricey but great.
Office / Work Environment
Crowded working conditions in some areas. Consistent hiring of under qualified staff instead of gentle encouragement for existing staff to get job done. It is very possible but morale is beyond low amongst most workers. Is climate controlled and has adequate lighting.
Seems aware of all legal matters such as environmental and social matters.
Other than quarter ends, vacation is normally allowed and has a fair amount of vacation days.
Most people employed longer than 90 days find out quick that the job is not great at all and that employees are often treated poorly and reminded that their job is hanging over their heads. They freely exercise Georgia's right to no cause termination when you anger the wrong person.
None at all. Scapegoats are often used to cover poor management and even poorer training. No true training guidelines are followed and the same thing you are encouraged for could be the same thing you are terminated for on a different day.
Fairly easy accessibility. Cafeteria in only one location making your break go by fast when working in further locations.
Fairly safe except for random pallet pieces that lazy workers step over instead of securing.
The work can provide emotional satisfaction when meeting deadlines and quotas.
Inclusive / Diverse
Does have a diverse working staff but does not encourage opinions and instead makes decisions from a table and not a working standpoint.
Suggestions for improvement
- Honestly, most of the upper management and poor hr representatives need to either be removed or monitored for fairness before all the good employees jump ship.
What I like about the company
The weekly pay and employee discounts. Also having your birthday off paid.
What I dislike about the company
That it's not the great place that it could be as managers focus on numbers only and employees are expendable.
