There is no commendation or recognization for employees who are working hard or maintain good attendance.
Support from management
Most supervisors are immature, completely untrained as leaders, and friends of the owner. Responsibilities are not equally distributed.
Freedom to work independently
Responsibilities are not equal for all employees. Some are doing the jobs of 2-4 people.
Employees are only informed of company business if it is absolutely necessary. Even company holidays weren't communicated until the day before.
Overall compensation for your work
Minimum wage. No vacation time, personal leave, or sick time. Raises were done by percentage to a max of 5% with no exceptions. Plant manager took even opportunity to decrease raises to include termination and rehiring employees at lower rates.
No benefits, health insurance discounts.
Office / Work Environment
No ventilation in a hot working environment.
No vacation, sick time, or paid personal leave. Call in sick twice in one month and employees would be terminated. Overtime was mandatory.
Job was at risk of termination every single day.
Inclusive / Diverse
There are no goals for employees, only demands that if not met, will result in termination.
Suggestions for improvement
- Treat employees how they deserve to be treated and they will return that with increased production, quality, and overall performance.
What I like about the company
Always an opportunity for overtime.
What I dislike about the company
Mandatory overtime. No benefits, paid time off, commendation for hard working employees. Safety is non existent.
