Our products at Qualtrics XM were specifically created around the four core experiences of business we have centered our platform on- customers, employees, products and brands. Each one of these core business experiences has its own application to monitor and assess how it is performing. 

Customer Experience- Used to optimize the customer experience and predict the actions that will have the biggest impact on their bottom line. Monitor, respond and improve every interaction along the customer journey.

Employee Experience- Drive employee excellence by measuring and optimizing every stage of the employee lifecycle with world-class technology and expert consulting to help every employee succeed and contribute to your success.

Product Experience- Uncover product needs, prioritize features, and predict market trends.

Brand Experience- Increase brand equity, test and improve advertising, and identify your essential brand drivers.

In addition to these four core products, we also offer a platform that specializes specifically in research ranging anywhere from customer insights to market segmentation. With the Qualtrics research core platform, sophisticated research is made incredibly simple while getting the data you need to make the most important decisions for your business.

Yes, for the most part it's up to you -- people don't breathe down your neck (though clients do!)

I think usually this is the case, though once in awhile I do feel left in the dark.

Gender Equality

Yes, overall they TRY to do this. We're in Utah, so it's going to be an uphill battle. I do think maternity . leave could improve, but it isn't terrible!

Attitude towards older colleagues

I think for the most part -- we are a tech company at the core, so it's a bit hard for older generations sometimes to have the applicable skills. However, I think that older people get great roles here and thrive.

Career Development

Yes, though sometimes the managers are too busy to help as much as I'd like.

Overall compensation for your work

With rising cost of living (mostly rent), it can be a bit hard at the lower levels, like me. But with the benefits it's definitely bearable...

Office / Work Environment

I do think a female should weigh in on the heating -- currently only a man does, and this can lead to a few issue.

Environmental Friendliness

They are getting better, but still more foam than I'd like.

Work-Life Balance

This could be a bit improved -- they sometimes give us way too much to do, which will bleed into non-work life. Current role, esp. current manager, helps negate this when possible.

Yes! This is a great, growing company just acquired by a very well respected industry leader.

Yes, they're actually growing my team!

Yes, they go out of their way to do this (I think).

Yes, they emphasize this.

Challenging Work

In my old role, we had too much to do, but in my new role I'm challenged but able to have a non-work life. I'm challenged to expand my skillset and develop critical thinking skills.

Inclusive / Diverse

Yes, they really promote this both implicitly and explicitly.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I basically said this before, but to sum it up:1. Pay more2. Don't overload employees/run too "lean"3. Allow for remote work4. Allow for a clear, upward trajectory for internal employees5. Get an onsite daycare

What I like about the company

I love just about everyone I work with. The company is really growing and has a great office. The work, while at times tedious, is overall intellectually engaging/interesting. The benefits are pretty nice too! I think I have a good team I'm on with a good overall company culture. They care about my career/education goals and are helping me fulfill them.

What I dislike about the company

1. Work/life balance could improve a lot. New people are often blown away by how much we try to fit in the day, which I think is improving due to recently higher attrition under the pressure of unreasonable workloads. 2. Compensation is a bit lower than some comparable jobs for the cost of living. Rent is skyrocketing here in Utah -- it's hard to expect people to make it work at $40k starting. And don't say the "benefits" make up for it. While the benefits are great, lots of places pay more with similar benefits. 3. It gets a bit snooty about colleges. We are a BYU professor-and-son started company -- stop trying to act like we aren't. We are really, really close to BYU -- it's OKAY that many of our employees come from there. Grow the Seattle office (read: a place more people are willing to work than Provo-SLC) if you want to have more people from non-Utah universities. We pass up on lots of great candidates for this reason.4. Have more internal progression for people to move up/develop their careers (though this is improving by a lot!!)5. Allow for more remote work. It's really, really hard on parents, particularly moms. 6. Related to the above, it would be way worth it to invest in a daycare center.
