Company Culture

if this question was during the term of previous leader(GM) i would have marked 4 out of five

Support from management

Unethical, inhuman, self centered, eccentric, hitler style

Teamwork

with the current leader means using the team members to the maximum and dump them off

Freedom to work independently

no freedom of speech, no empowerment from top to bottom

Internal Communication

lacking in summarize the message, starts with something and ends up in somewhere else. No praise or a pat on the back for good performance, where as reprimands in public, in meetings and in front of subordinates. Finds satisfaction in humiliating and insulting others in public

Gender Equality

lot of favoritism. own people are hired by smoking out the long serving employees and people who he doesnt like

Attitude towards older colleagues

here i want to score zero, but no option. older collleagues are harassed, laughed at and humiliated. experience and loyalty is not at at all recognised and highlighted as those who serve for long are unable to find new job. there is inferiority complex and insecure feeling while dealing with long serving employees. many long serving employees, who were the pillars of reputation for this organisation have either resigned or terminated

Career Development

owners always supported growth within and supported internal development and promotion, but that has stopped now with new manager

Overall compensation for your work

reasonable salary and benefits. always paid on time, thanks to the generous owners

Office / Work Environment

working conditions are good as the owners are kind and generous. current management has reduce staff strength by 25% -from 236 down to 176 within 8 months. That includes key guest contact areas, and this has resulted in drastically dropping the guest reviews ranking from 8 to 8.8 (out of ten) for several years, down to 7.5 now. conveniently blames the employees for this drastic drop

Environmental Friendliness

the parent company of Franchise has a very strong environment policy and guidance, but at the hotel level it's not practiced and the leader encourages the team to compile false documents just to pass the annual audit

Work-Life Balance

the current leader make people work extra hours by force, no consideration for families, religious occasions, for emergency personal needs.if somebody is sick or on medical leave, derogatory comments are passed in his absence

this organisation was known for its good reputation for many years but now everything has changed to worse with current leader

Job Security

BIG YESS.! no financial crisis reported in this market yet, but restructuring and terminating employees started months before. insecurity and fear of losing job without any reason is always in employees mind here.this situation is used by the leader to victimize people whom he doesnt like

the experienced employees are happy with what they accomplish at work, but the leader finds unreasonable mistakes to attack the people he doesnt lie

it's monopoly, suggestions are not taken, including in manning, budgets, hiring. Surprisingly even guest feed back is not given enough importance to improve facilities. employees are forced to call the guest to ask them to change their review

Suggestions for improvement

  • Request to the owners: listen to employees and guests, read employee opinion survey, do not ignore the writing on the wall!, analyse guest reviews for the past several years, analyse quality results of past several years..match and compare last two years....u will agree with my opinion

What I like about the company

pay masters, owners do not interfere with staff directly, highly reputed from both guests and employee perspective

unethical, rude, selfcentered hitler style, new leaedrship
