They are all about becoming the best health care system in America but cant pay the employees, low morale throughout the departments, sudden high turnover
Departments dont work well with each other, always a battle of whos busier and more important rather than about patient care.
Office / Work Environment
My immediate coworkers in my department are like a big family!!
They consider your home life and genuinely show concern when something happens, but don't care when it comes to scheduling, forced employees to adhere to a new schedule without any concern for prior engagements, vacations, etc..
The community hates us! But there is no other hospital for hours so they are forced to come here for medical attention!
With so many budget cuts to the employees hours, incentive pays, etc.....and shutting down operations of floors, who knows when they start weeding out the people they could possibly do without.
staff is overworked and burned out, not enough people to cover when people call out, extra busy with patients, safety is a concern for staff and patients
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to the people who actually do the work! Dont change or try to fix things because some company looked at a bunch of numbers and decided what would be better/cheaper etc
What I dislike about the company
dont take care of employees, doesnt matter if they're understaffed, long time loyal employees are leaving and no concern that they do, unable to replace employees that have left,
