50/50. Some supervisors we're good about it, and other's not so much. Some let gossip rule the way they felt about some employees.
Support from management
Some supervisors listened too much to hear say without giving a fair chance.
No. Newly hired employees we're not respectful of other's positions and duties. They we're too busy trying to take on others jobs, climb the latter and keep track of what other employees weren't doing. The long term employees worked well together.
Freedom to work independently
Work load was fair and let us work independently as long as the work got done by the deadlines.
My supervisor was pretty good about keeping me informed.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The younger employees we're not supported as much, instead criticized for being set in their ways.
Employees we're supported in advancement if there was an opening that was a good fit.
My supervisor was great; however, others did not give you a chance to explain situations, nor did they seem to care.
I felt very secure until the hiring of young, unprofessional people. They liked to gossip, stir up trouble and spent way too much time minding other people's business instead of their own.
Suggestions for improvement
- Take long term, loyal employees into consideration instead of losing them due to unnecessary troublemakers. Very sad because the firm has lost some loyal employees due to gossip. A few supervisors allowed it and fed into it as well. Became a very sad situation.
What I like about the company
I loved it the first few years. It was like a second family amongst coworkers and even some supervisors. Poor hiring decisions caused problems for several long term loyal employees.
What I dislike about the company
Most recent unprofessional employees who did nothing but stir up trouble.
