- Raynor Mfg. Co.20.Jan 2016
Union is dysfunctional and runs on the buddy system. Company is struggling against foreign competition and allows this as it works to their advantage.
Support from management
Friendship between employees interferes with fair treatment
Like many, those who are the hardest workers are taken advantage of by those who coast
Attitude towards older colleagues
Actually older workers are preferred in my area as younger guys tend to quit and can't hang with heavy work.
Overall compensation for your work
Salary not comparable to inflation, same salary I was making in manufacturing in 1978.
Since there is no fair trade only exploitation of cheap foreign labor destroying U.S. labor market can't answer with honesty.
Vacation by seniority, have to admit lower level supervisors are family oriented and will give you the benefit of the doubt in these situations and are considerate
Company given credit for staying in U.S. and not selling out to globalist idea of cheap foreign labor.
Elephant in the room, hard to compete with foreign slave wage labor.
No brain work, just muscle.
Inclusive / Diverse
company offers bonuses for ideas that benefit production, safety etc.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better pay, more professionalism from lower level supervisors, Government trade laws that are actually fair.
What I like about the company
Stayed loyal to U.S.
What I dislike about the company
Outsourcing parts to Mexico.
