They are stuck in another, foregone era with culture. Top down management style, respect for executives is expected, and don't question anything. Trust is almost nil, and they treat the majority of the workforce like third graders.
My direct team members were great for the most part, but collectively we were powerless against the management of our department and division.
Level of Autonomy
In a sense, there was almost too much autonomy at times, with no direction when needed, which led to misunderstandings on expectations and deliverables with internal clients.
