Support from Management
The nature of the work sets up dangerous encounters. Advocates are often alone with up to 36 residents.
Suggestions for improvement
- Unfortunately, due to a lack of adequate funding, people with minimal training are hired at low pay to advocate for battered women and children. It is a no-win situation.
I like about the employer
RCS Pinellas is an umbrella agency covering a food pantry, counseling services, an abused women's shelter and longer term housing for women and families dealing with abuse. It provides desperately needed services to the community.
