Suggestions for improvement
- Focus less on the real estate sales side (which seemed to have pretty stagnant growth), and focus on the software and tools side.
I like about the employer
They provided occasional training programs to help their realtors improve sales and advance. Your hours are pretty flexible, and they have some outstanding CRM tools to help you manage clients and sale prospects.
I dislike about the employer
In the office I worked in, I perceived a pretty cutthroat environment...I was instructed to perform a certain way based on parameters defined by Redfin, but I was pretty much the only person doing that. I was a newly licensed realtor, but hired in a position that normally required an extensive background and many sales. I had a lot of people (area manager, team lead, other agents) in the team who consistently told me to ask them for help, but I never really got any...I'd schedule a meeting, they'd be too busy and reschedule; I'd send email asking for some guidance, I'd get a "get back to you soon" email with no followup. Overall, a very frustrating experience.
