What I like

depending on your team, some team members are great

What I dislike

Senior level leadership was seriously disconnected from the actual happenings and issues plaguing the organization. Consistently ignoring negative data and only highlighting the positive. Read Jim Collins "5 stages of decline" and this organization/leadership does each stage almost verbatim, and is steadily in decline with no end in sight.

Suggestions for improvement

Stop taking on more and more clients while your internal systems and operations are crumbling. dont expect 3 people to do the work of 5. Actually offer career progression and enable employees to develop

Company Culture

non existent. the "core values" are not practiced, especially by senior level leadership. They say their number one value is "doing the right thing" but only when it is convenient. A lot of people make "jokes" about how they wish they would get into a car accident driving into work...

Work-Life Balance

people often work after hours, over the weekend and holidays (even while on PTO) and it is expected that they do so. The busiest time of year is december through january due to poor planning and a disconnected sales team so the holiday season is the worst time of the year.

Career Development

many people get stuck in one spot and are never given the opportunity or ability to move (be it vertically or laterally). There is no progression plan or true developmental opportunities which is another cause for high turnover

Handicapped Accessibility

there is a ramp and an elevator

Overall compensation for your work

recently axed annual increases with a new "performance bonus system" that is poorly defined and incredibly subjective in nature

Environmental Friendliness

Senior leadership like to print off documents that are hundreds of pages long that are intended to be viewed electronically due to their size and complexity. routinely wastes paper

Workplace Safety

the key card system to get in is very easily circumvented

Teamwork

Numerous teams will get assigned tasks and say "this isnt my job" without pointing you in the direction of the correct team. Often, it is trying to pass the buck to avoid any and all work or responsibility and pointing the finger when something happens

Attitude towards older colleagues

honestly, the older you are the better because the younger team members want to try and fix issues while the older team members are more okay with "doing it the way it was always done"

Support from management

Depending on your team, your direct manager will support you as much as they can. Senior level management however is a different story. Be prepared to sacrifice your integrity (and your sanity) in order to appease a client at the request from senior leadership

Office / Work Environment

Office is in a nice location. Although it is very dirty and is a cube city.

Challenging Work

the work is challenging but not in the good way. The system is sub par, and the technology has constant issues making doing daily tasks challenging

Job Security

due to incredibly high turnover, retention is at an all time low. if you have a pulse and do the bare minimum your job is safe

Internal Communication

changes will happen with no communication regarding the change, who it effects or when it will actually take place. A process will change and the only communication comes after with no instruction or information on the new process (across all teams).

Freedom to work independently

again, all dependent on your team.

Going Downhill

EmployeeWorked at ReedGroup in Westminster, CO at the time of review.

What I like

Nothing at this point.

What I dislike

Culture of bullying and backstabbing. Lack of ethics in management-if it was not in writing it did not happen. Discrimination and harassment are rampant and encouraged. Zero opportunity for advancement. No work/life balance. No accountability for management. Pay does not cover cost of living.

Suggestions for improvement

Guardian needs to clean house from ops managers on up, then set up a check and balance system to hold ops managers accountable. Every role under ops manager is heavily audited and scored-ops managers should be treated the same. Provide actual management training (as in basic management techniques and people skills). Promote ETHICS over money.
Otherwise they're just going to keep losing good people to the competition. Senior management regularly jokes (within hearing of lower level employees) about not following or caring about the company values.

Company Culture

The bottom line is more important than employee engagement or welfare.

Work-Life Balance

Don't work here if you have a family. There is no work-life balance, there is only Reedgroup.

Career Development

There are no options for advancement.

Handicapped Accessibility

Evacuation response for differently abled still needs work-there is no plan for what happens when the elevators are not accessible.

Overall compensation for your work

Pay is not commensurate to similar jobs in the same field.

Inclusive / Diverse

One of the few good points is diversity.

Environmental Friendliness

Many trees died for this job.

Workplace Safety

Notification of medical crisis must be emailed to management and HR in explicit detail while the crisis is occurring, and even then employees will be asked to stay. If you did not notify in writing, your medical issue did not happen.

Teamwork

Co-workers in the same job are great. Management not so much.

Support from management

Management only cares about the bottom line and $$$. Employees have died on the clock without management noticing.

Office / Work Environment

Unsafe working conditions are ignored.

Challenging Work

The work is not challenging-the challenge is the sheer volume due to understaffing.

Internal Communication

If it is not in writing, it did not happen-and good luck getting it in writing.

Freedom to work independently

Nope. You will be monitored and constantly harassed about your numbers.

What I like

I have been with the company for around six years and they have presented me with opportunities I never thought possible. They took the time to invest in my schooling and my abilities and I am forever grateful

What I dislike

There is an exhorbinant amount of overtime. Caseloads could be more evenly distributed

Suggestions for improvement

Case load, more employees in my department, free employee meals so we don't have to leave for lunch.

Company Culture

It is a very inclusive diverse workplace

Many group assignments and group chats and meetings

A varying mix of ages

Office / Work Environment

Very nice handicap accessible ergonomic space

Challenging Work

I am a case manager in the healthcare field and work directly with employees

Job Security

Been there for six years and have advanced numerous times

Very open door policy

Gender Equality

What I like

I really enjoyed working in social services and helping others. Their facilities were nice and well maintained and the benefits were great.

What I dislike

We were given an impossible case load and communication and teambuilding was severely impacted by this. It was also expected to work overtime almost daily due to employees not doing their dedicated tasks and the sheer case load.

Suggestions for improvement

Better management training, enough employees, technological updates, clearer definitions of employee roles

Company Culture

Issues with employee oversight

Company Image

Chief complaints = workload and management

Work-Life Balance

Constantly was forced to work overtime

Career Development

Was looked over numerous times

Handicapped Accessibility

Agreed

Overall compensation for your work

Other companies in the field paid higher

Inclusive / Diverse

Hired people of all types

Environmental Friendliness

Did hold a number of community events

Workplace Safety

Was up to date with ADA and accomodations and safety

Teamwork

Due to workload, not a lot of teambuilding

Attitude towards older colleagues

A number of older employees did work there

Support from management

Issues with employee oversight

Office / Work Environment

Was a nice office

Challenging Work

It is a very demanding and stressful position

Job Security

Was laid off of my job after an injury

Internal Communication

Disconnect between management and employees

Gender Equality

Was a diverse workforce with much female management

Freedom to work independently

Due to lack of oversight, primary tasks weren't being completed

It’s overall fair this due to long distances travel

What I like

The lake.

What I dislike

Everything.

Suggestions for improvement

Get rid of your management and hire ones who are appropriately trained and treat employees correctly.

Company Culture

There is none.

Company Image

Aon Hewitt was better.

Work-Life Balance

Don't miss work, you'll get let go even if you were hospitalized.

Career Development

Once you start moving up, they let you go.

Overall compensation for your work

None.

Teamwork

They fire people and leave one person to do the work of those 5 that they fired along with their own casework without extra time to handle it.

Support from management

Management messes up and blames the employees under them in order to keep their own job.

Office / Work Environment

Bathrooms always out of order.

Challenging Work

Try being one person, doing six people's jobs, without extra time to allot for the ton of extra work, AND doing your managers work. It's quite challenging, lmao.

Job Security

If you raise the ladder and get raises, they fire you and hire someone at a way lower wage to save their money. NO MATTER how good of a worker you are.

Internal Communication

None.

Freedom to work independently

They never bother you, UNTIL they get into trouble. Monthly reviews, what are those?
