Support from management
Sales managers are hired very young in thier career and come and go quickly. Great for an inexperienced(right out of college) individual who wants to get managerial experience.
Sales executives are on their own everyday and can only lean on teammates if you take the initiative to reach out. Since there wasn't a home office in the Bay Area, it's often to not see a teammate for a month. Team meetings would occur once a month.
Freedom to work independently
Sales executive is free to build their own schedule around their customer's needs. A lot of driving is required.
Quarterly sales meetings were held to discuss where the business stood on a financial basis, to hold trainings and to network.
When I worked for this company there wasn't a lot of women in management. I sometimes felt like it was harder for women to get promoted.
Overall compensation for your work
In my opinion, the job responsibilities did not match the salary. Bonus pay was often lofty and unattainable. Health benefits were decent.
Not sure. As a sales executive, you needed to be able to walk A LOT and lift 40 lbs.
Not a whole lot of trainings on safety. It's obviously important but definitely not talked a lot in the organization.
The job itself is not that difficult. The job does require a lot of time building a territory and meeting new buyers.
