Employees are not consulted in any decision making process. There is much room for improvement from management.
Suggestions for improvement
- Function as a team. Care about your staff. Show that you appreciate them by providing them with the training, tools and support they need to succeed. By asking employees what motivates them, can help management know how to best utilize their skills, and will help provide them with information about what drives their team. If any of that at all was present, it would drastically improve morale, quality of work, and output of the team.
What I like about the company
Marriott as an umbrella company is wonderful.
What I dislike about the company
Since most Marriotts are franchised, this hotel is not run by Marriott Corporate. The management team struggled in making decisions, and does not adhere to Marriott's core values. They do not have any training programs in place to utilize, and the hiring process is scattered and seemingly unimportant.
