Suggestions for improvement

  • Be better at assigning work. Don't expect employees to put in time out of office to take tests that they don't care about.

What I like about the company

Weekly meetings with direct supervisor were always positive and set expectations well. Upper management was a different story.

What I dislike about the company

The department I worked for assigned arbitrary due dates to projects that did not need to be due in that period of time and would make you feel bad for not completing inconsequential work. We had due dates for all projects, it would have been better if dates were set on that so we didn't waste our time on projects that were far out.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would suggest better ways to show appreciation toward the work force. They did not have a bonus program and very little employee perks. Flexible hours would have been really helpful.

What I like about the company

I transferred in from the Sycamore IL location and everyone was very welcoming. I also had a great working relationship with the salesman I worked with.

What I dislike about the company

I came from the corporate headquarters and transfers to a sales office. There was a bit of tension from some of the salesmen because they had a negative attitude toward the corporate office. This did get better over time with most of them but a few of them always made thing just a bit more difficult than they needed to be.

  • The wage scale for associates.

What I like about the company

Most of the people have been good and the employee events have been fun. Offer classes and training that teach about the corporate world.

What I dislike about the company

I'm not crazy about the limitations with tobacco use. It doesn't affect me, but the idea is seems a little much. I understand though. I do feel that advancement here has a lot to do with who you know. If you don't follow a supervisor around like a puppy dog pulling at their pant leg then you won't get as many opportunities.
