I did not feel I was in a climate of trust or fairness.
Support from management
I was misinformed by HR more than once on critical questions and was kept completely out of the loop concerning filling, or not filling, a seat I was to support.
The team in SF worked well together and most depts in LA were easy to work with and supportive.
Freedom to work independently
I was discouraged from taking any initiative whatsoever, and despite my experience, could only move ahead on certain rather mundane projects by waiting for it to become critical so that the managing partner's assistant, who had authority to make decisions, was then involved. It was a waste of manpower, in my opinion.
Overall lack of communication. Reviews were consistently several months late, and could never come directly from supervisor but had to come from HR in LA.
Office / Work Environment
Beautiful setting, good equipment, great location.
Better than average awareness and sensitivity.
Seems pretty good. I was staff, so I went home on time.
My desk was consistently underutilized.
