I like about the employer

Company vehicle, gas card, and phone provided. I believe they have been working on making good decisions to fix the issues listed below the past few years.

I dislike about the employer

Raises are at random and there is no standard evaluation followed by a meeting or discussion on how to improve your performance. Treated like a child on a daily basis... micromanagement is an understatement. Unreasonable expectations. Vacation is only 1 week for each of the first 2 years. Hours of work are unreasonable... leaving home sometimes as early as 4AM, and sometimes returning home as late as 9PM. Hotel arrangements are near impossible - even if you are 3 hours away from home. Need I say more? Very slow to embrace new ideas or suggestions.

New company iPhone and company vehicle with gas card.

Work-Life Balance

1 week of vacation/year for the 1st three years. No personal days. Be prepared to leave home at 3:30AM every once in a while for meetings 2 hours away.
Average: leave home 6AM-7:45AM, back home 5-6PM.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Annual reviews are extremely beneficial for both parties - money aside. Perhaps create quarterly reviews? I recommend RS HQ creates a standard New Hire Sales Book. The manager/rep that trains them can then make any necessary changes based on the bottlers/territory. I understand most everything is on the app, but this would save a whole (paid) day's work printing and making photocopies instead of training/selling. Just a thought!
