There is little to no chance of a family life while employed here.
Support from management
The only "support" that management offers is emotional abandonment issues from their inability to communicate or negotiate.
Only a 80/20 split is considered a "team" move.
Freedom to work independently
Sure, if "freedom" means paying out of your own paycheck for an EZ-PASS that they refuse to let you use.
The only form of communication skills that this company is capable of is ultimatums about going into shipyards without a TWIC card or sketchy areas that you're uncomfortable in.
There was not a single female nor minority manager employed while I worked there.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Their old men were treated very well.
Office / Work Environment
Their office workers were treated amazingly, too bad they're a driving company that treats their drivers horribly.
They're only friendly if you don't want to see your families, use the interstate, or have a safe dispatch.
Every time it is close to your time at home please look forward to a dispatch that pushes farther away. Also, don't expect to bring your children without wanting to pay a small fortune in passenger fee.
Their facilities are always in disrepair.
Many workers have complained about unsafe dispatches and getting hurt in their yards.
Inclusive / Diverse
There are no opportunities for anyone outside of their cliche to advance in that company so unless you're part of their crew, don't even bother.
Suggestions for improvement
- They need either shut down or have a massive reassignment of management
What I like about the company
Quitting was a great day.
