Little fairness, very little trust with anyone there.
Support from management
Great general and operations manager, office management needs work on professionalism and promotion of privacy with regards to personal situations.
Office plagued by negativity and hypocrisy, people more concerned with causing issues and gossip than getting work done together.
Freedom to work independently
Work is not even, couple workhorses who are stressed to the max due to coat-tail riders. Management very open to suggestions..good luck getting them past for corporate though.
Informed about profits but still underpaid. Regular meetings turn to buffering issues between the women in the office rather than providing solutions to work issues and promoting teamwork.
You can go to management if you set your mind to it as a woman in construction that is an honorable thing for a construction based company to allow women into management roles.
Attitude towards older colleagues
People of all ages are hired, makes for a good mix of backgrounds at this company. If you make it long-term, congrats! No comment on long serving colleagues for I don't know too many at this company.
You are only as good as you want to be, no one at this company pushes people to management, you get there if you push yourself and show them you want it otherwise you will stay in your position with no push for advancement.
Overall compensation for your work
You have to work very very hard before you dare get recognized for a raise and even then they are a slap in the face.."here is a quarter, call someone who cares" you basically have to say you are being offered more money elsewhere before they will give you a raise and only then if you have made yourself nearly indispensable will they entertain it...and by entertain I mean say oh let me see what I can do and never get back to you on it.
Office / Work Environment
Great work equipment and environment to get daily jobs done, noise-level is severely aggravating due to conversations taking place that are not work-appropriate.
Great hours, great benefits, but lack of consideration of time off due to family and personal issues...don't take too many days off that could lead to your termination even with proper documentation.
Employees talk fondly about the company just not sure if it's good fondly or bad fondly haha.
Job is stable as long as you have no life and make them your priority over everything!
No tools for disabled employees...they don't hire them at least in Charlotte.
Safety is their number one and they WILL make that known which is great! This is the one positive thing I can say about this company is that they take safety very seriously!
You have to keep learning at this company, otherwise tasks become monotonous and boring! Keep looking for things you don't know or don't understand and ask a lot of questions and teach yourself what others won't teach you or can't. I was very proud of my work...I never stopped learning as much as I could get my hands on or get time with someone who could show me!

Opinions and ideas are welcomed but again good luck getting them past corporate.

Hiring process is very lacking so that employees hired are not sufficient for the job duties needing to be done; office management does not take control of issues within the office nor do they know how to approach them professionally or privately so that it doesn't snowball the issues.
