Overall compensation for your work
More often than not, paychecks were late as the company struggled to make payroll. Absolutely zero benefits are offered.
This company is solely dependent on the price of oil as they only cater to oil companies for their advertisement needs. When oil drops, expect a hostile working environment.
If nothing else, it is a standard office space with little to no safety issues. The only main issue was the clutter that I ran across.
Suggestions for improvement
- The company is only focused on their commission sales employees. This is a "mom and pop" establishment that gives off the impression that they are more established than what they are. After 6 months, the smoke and mirrors become painfully obvious and the employee is left holding on to broken promises and unfulfilled requests.
What I like about the company
I liked the travel to different places for the trade events.
What I dislike about the company
Paychecks were regularly late. Zero HR accountability means that there is no checks or balances to hold people accountable. No formal code of conduct or hand book to outline what is expected of you. Company Policy changes on a frequent basis to suit the needs of the owners/general manager and often it stands as a major inconvenience to the employee. Unless the job is sales, the managing staff has little to no understanding of other job positions and often places unrealistic demands on the employee and will not listen to reason.
