Suggestions for improvement
- R.P Lumber greatest assets are their employees . They work long hours and want to earn a living for their families. A lot is expected with a small team especially in his smaller stores. They wear a lot of hats and do what has to be done. Pay raises are small and women make a lot less than men. I worked their 3 years and was promoted to new position to with greater responsibility. The 2 men I trained to take the entry position started out making more than I was after 3 years of experience and with greater responsibility .
What I like about the company
I needed at Job and I was hired.
What I dislike about the company
corporate bullying Once a month telephone conference call company wide the owner would threaten jobs. would say stores name and and position of person but not of name of person. Owner would use intimidation and humiliation. If customer wrote complaint letter it would be read over the conference call and would be made an example to rest of company, If hired in after Jan will have to work a whole year before you could earn a week vacation paid.
