No fairness in reviews. People let go based on faulty issues or attitude. Promotions denied based on social aspects.
Support from management
Unrealistic goals, unproductive support from leadership. Problems not addressed.
Honest environment, good communication between levels of management and staff.
Freedom to work independently
Long hours required with small amount of labor force.
Great communication between main office and stores. Spent time on meetings for training.
Few female management at store level. Corporate office had positions filled by women.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Amount of work load at store level required a hire energy level and was not friendly to seniors.
Lots of growth, little based on performance. One could move up if socially accepted.
Overall compensation for your work
Some of the best benefits I've had as a manager. No benefits for hourly staff.
Office / Work Environment
Update systems, newer stores were clean and efficient.
Recycling programs in place. Little to no community involvement.
Long hours required. Never have a full day off. Travel required. Pressure to work more than 45 hours a week.
Not spoke of fondly due to poor hours and questionable descions made. A great concept though for a grocery store.
High turn over.
Safe place to work, good company focus on safety.
Standard grocery store environment. Small challenges in managing product flow and pay roll.
Inclusive / Diverse
Ideas rarely supported. Diversity was not a top issue.
What I like about the company
Great concept. Good store products.
What I dislike about the company
Long hours. Poor support from upper management.
