What I like about the company

The pay was pretty good and they did have some nice benefits and perks like a fitness center.

What I dislike about the company

The atmosphere and culture of this company is much less than desirable. They are very stuck in many aspects of the past. They are not open to change. They are very stuck in the "this is the way we have always done things" mindset. Management styles and attitudes are also very stuck in the past, and are not conducive to anyone under 35 or so.
They have very little to no respect for employees.
And there is just a very negative atmosphere and attitude around the whole company. It is not a positive place to work.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Focus more on Land Sea air and Space technology and their impact on the environment

What I like about the company

I have initiated and implemented the finance and the development of many projects through recruitment of key personnel, technical programs, and other domestic and overseas projects as joint ventures and stand-alone activities around the world. I presented a keynote speech titled “China’s Challenge An Overview” at the Beijing International Environmental Protection (IAP) Technology Conference to 2000 delegates Beijing, China.
The programs that I was responsible were valued from $200,000 to over a million dollars at no cost to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) a non-profit organization in over 100 countries. Worked in coordination with the Department of Commerce’s Matchmaker Program introducing US companies to in-country businesses for the purposes of cooperation and partnerships.
For example, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Honda, Toyoda, FIAT, Renault, Chrysler, Hyundai, Freightliner, Peterbuilt Volvo along major US suppliers with and the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Management needs to spend more time listening to staff that do the work and Human Resource's personnel need to become better advocates for staff rather just management.

What I like about the company

The work was interesting and rewarding and the vast majority of SAE members are nice to work with.

What I dislike about the company

The company culture has declined dramatically over the years. There are continual reorganizations and layoffs which create an atmosphere of insecurity for staff. Seasoned and tenured staff are not appreciated whereas millennials are highly cultivated.
