Support from management
Upper management was TERRIBLE. They respected their donors but lacked with staff.
Had a great team for the most part
Freedom to work independently
Depends who your boss was. After the takeover of the country contract there was much more micro managing.
They deliver e mails and etc in a positive manner but when it comes to one on one they are extremely lacking compassion
Attitude towards older colleagues
Just because staff was older it does NOT always make them more experienced.
They do not promote deserving staff at all.
Office / Work Environment
Pretty clean campuses. Could use some operation improvements.
Late shifts that are not consistent. You can start as early as 7:30am or as late as 10:30am
They do well delivering their “image” to media but once you work there, you realize very quickly it’s all an act.
Nepotism. Only favorites were given chance of new opportunities
Suggestions for improvement
- Let more staff have opportunities to go out to SRT, learn additional training such as wildlife training, behavior training, etc.
What I like about the company
Beautiful campus, most co workers were enjoyable.
What I dislike about the company
Upper management absolutely has no idea what’s going on in operations. They do not recognize hard working lower staff nor give them the opportunity to move up in positions.
