Suggestions for improvement
- Improve on anything stated on the "I don't like about Sauder Woodworking Co. - Get some Central Air for the July and August months at least. Padded mat floors for joint and body pain prevention.
I like about the employer
The consistent hours and set schedule occasional overtime.
I dislike about the employer
Caddy older employees, ill organized on the job training program, horrible healthcare plan, you can only reach around $16 an hour after working here for over 20 years, Very dirty, dusty very and very hot in the summer work environment, I suggested 2 employees to be hired in, great wonderful employees, caught their departments work up and then they were let go / laid off because they worked so efficiently - in tern I got screwed out of my $200 referral bonus. The higher up people have monthly meetings and show unrealistic profit and product order projections, They are not able to keep new employees for very long due to their old way of thinking, they need to step into the new generation and respect that the (18-30 year) range is going to be their future customers but they are stuck making furniture pieces from the 70's and not the good kind, repetitive motion makes employees have joint and muscle problems and dim lighting and absent of color work area makes for a depressing work environment.
