Management never told us we were doing a good job, and there was no review process in place.
Support from management
My boss only called employees to yell at them, and he rarely answered his phone after hours.
I enjoyed working with my coworkers, although there was no training classes available to further our skills.
Freedom to work independently
The jobs were way too far apart, which made for very long days.
I was told very little about my jobs, and nothing of any short term or long term company goals.
There is no room for growth in this small family owned business.
Overall compensation for your work
Wages are about 1/2 of the amount they should be, and there are no benefits. No retirement, health care or vacation time.
Office / Work Environment
I was sent to do jobs on rooftops in the rain.
I routinely had to work 12 days straight without a day off for no extra pay. A lot of times I would work over 40 hours and only got paid for 25 or less. They only offer 5 days per year of vacation, and you have to wait a year to use that. The days never seemed to end.
Good service people will always have work.
There are no training programs in place however most service people alraedy know how to work safely.
Service work is always challenging, that's why we need professionals to do it.
