Suggestions for improvement
- In the last several years when they have frozen pay they have increased the employee share paying for benefits. They waste money that could be spent on compensating employees. I would change some of the shift structures that require 12 hour days to 10 hurs and up the shift differential for those working off shifts.
What I like about the company
Seagate offers a challenging manufacturing environment with high technology. They do offer competitive benefits and are a good global citizen. There is opportunity for career and shift advancement with several different shifts available. I have been abe to stay with one company but several different jobs my whole career. There are a lot of technical and engineering jobs that are very challenging and we do leading edge technical work here. It is close to home and public transportation is available forsome shifts.
