Leaders are competitive among each other and do not encourage promoting from within. At the highest level, leadership has come to the company from other countries and, shortly after their one-year agreement expires, they quit. Large amount of leadership turnover in a failing company so it was difficult to learn and/or see consistent direction and goals for the company.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Many employees are younger, very small percentage of employees older than early to mid-30's.
