What I like

My supervisor is amazing and is supportive. My coworkers make coming to work enjoyable. This is the most supportive work place I’ve ever worked at

What I dislike

The company values direct and honest communication and encourages us to use direct communication with each other. However, even though this is a value, I don’t think the higher ups give the regular employees direct and honest communication.

Suggestions for improvement

There needs to be more direct communication from higher ups. New staff should receive more training initially to better understand their jobs.

What I like

I have so many positive experiences, it is challenging to chose just one. Throughout my time at Seneca, I have met some life long friends, worked with some of the most resilient, creative, and lively kids that I have ever met and felt valued and excited to go to work each day. The days are tough and hard and sometimes seem like they will never end, but each day you end with your team mates and know that you will have the support you need to return to work and do your job well the next day.

What I dislike

At times, there can be a lack of transparency from high level management.

Suggestions for improvement

Mental Health Counselors and Clinicians at school sites should have the same paid time off as teachers do for school breaks.

My experience has been primarily positive, although the work/life balance isn’t consistently fostered.

What I like

The conpany fosters growth & puts corrh visible effort into assisting staff in meeting goals. They also work to ensure staff are supported in avoiding burnout.

What I dislike

I don’t have any major concerns; however, the work life balance could be better fostered.

Suggestions for improvement

Allowing staff to set and hold a schedule, and encouraging them to avoid working past 40 hours.

What I like

I truly enjoy my work. My supervisors are helpful and caring, and constantly reach out to make sure I feel supported. The youth I work with are some of the most amazing young people I've ever met.

What I dislike

I do feel with all the work we put in, there should be higher pay.

Suggestions for improvement

I cannot think of anything, I feel Seneca does a good job in these categories.

What I like

Seneca has challenged es me as a professional and was a driving reason why I applied and am currently working towards a Masters degree. Not only am I? able to work I’m also supported in getting a masters and can complete school requirements in my workplace. Staff is diverse and supportive, and people care about each other on an individual level rather than just as an employee. My job is interested in me, not just the work I do

What I dislike

Sometimes new programs can be exciting, but too much change can be overwhelming. Though it has slowed its growth, it needs to monitor when it expands as a company in different counties

Suggestions for improvement

I would have an office space that could fit everyone in one building, rather than having scattered sites due to not finding the right size building
