Support from management
They are hiring and promoting people with degrees that know absolutely nothing but make promises to you when you have to train someone that can’t distinguish the difference between oil and latex paint. Or my favorite promoting employees that doesn’t deserve the promotion and their numbers reflect why they should not be promoted. Very discouraging to be with an company for years and can’t get into management or receive the pay you deserve and get told lies as of why they go with another candidate but yet they trust you to train new hire and promoted employees!
Freedom to work independently
It’s a one on one thing when helping customers. You may come together to mix large orders but other than that you mix your own orders when you retrieve it from your customer.
Attitude towards older colleagues
It’s bittersweet each store is like a small family you may luck up with an awesome team or they may just have to grow on you.
That’s funny. You feel like you have given allllllllll your time and energy and not to mention your body(lifting) to a company for them to overlook you in promotions. But they notice you when they need you to feel in for the one or two people that have left the company because they have found better
Overall compensation for your work
Not even close to what I deserve and for whom all I have trained or just stepped up to help.
Office / Work Environment
Some stores are new(excellent) and meanwhile you have older stores that they take their time fixing even when management is aware of the conditions of the building example a/c issues or buildings being to small to accommodate the volume of sales the store generates but they do not care as long as you are open for business.
Just depends on what area your store is in. Some are great and then you have the not so great locations.
Ratings are beginning to reflect on the turnover rate this company is facing due to the wrong choices of promotions and pay.
Pretty decent. Unless you do something dishonest.
I have not noticed anything specifically for this but some stores are accessible.
Just depends on your building but if you are concerning working in heat when the a/c has been out for weeks and all you have is fans blowing out hot air in this Georgia weather.
It’s not hard at all. If you want to learn it you will; it’s the same routine every single day.
Inclusive / Diverse
Some are treated and promoted fairly quickly than others!!!!!! Ways are created for some!!!!!
Suggestions for improvement
- Promote with experience!! Keep buildings maintained by any means necessary. To show employees MORE appreciation! Our Christmas party was the only thing we looked forward too but that’s no longer. It would be nice to experience what other large companies do shut down the business for one day yearly and close down six flags or something and invite the families out. But that will never happened.
What I like about the company
Just the great people I have met over the years. The training I reserved from the true genuine people.
What I dislike about the company
Just the overall treatment of people that actually work their butts off and do not get what that rightfully deserve Because they have promoted someone’s nephew or niece and tell you this bogus story as of why they went with that candidate.
