Overall nationwide / worldwide the company culture is pretty great. But not so much in the local office
Support from management
The level of support and the direction of instructions vary greatly from day to day depending on mood
In the CHS they are anything but disadvantaged.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The system requires people who are quick at typing and good with a mouse so tend to favor younger people.
Overall compensation for your work
pay is usually on time. Other employees may offer better compensation and require less in return.
Office / Work Environment
office is pretty new and fairly nice. Layout could be a little better for noise reduction and working together in groups.
Can often be difficult to take vacation as wanted. Family consideration, depends on the mood.
Generally on a worldwide scale, people talk fondly of the company. Locally the rating is more along the "It's ok" lines
It can happen for organizational restructuring but more often a lay off happens to scratch an itch and exert power.
Elevator and ramp up to the office. Counters in printer room and kitchen may be tall for someone in a wheel chair
I used to be. Certain changes in company policy and structures changed that. Believe the term is called Brownout.
Inclusive / Diverse
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to the staff. Locally hire a qualified, level headed general manager.
What I like about the company
They have a bar
What I dislike about the company
They changed their company policies and values a few years back and it's very much a factory now. Everything that used to be at the core of what made it a good place to work and made us successful was changed.
