- Simple Helix, LLC08.Dec 2015
This is actually something that does separate Simple Helix from other companies. Employees were usually commended for their efforts with a nice trophy or a "hey good job."
Support from management
My supervisor was very good at communicating with us. I would recommend them for any management position. That said they was more a middle messenger than anything else. They would listen, those above them were more interested in investing in their free-time.
The techs level of communication among their department was excellent. However, the admin team rarely communicates with the CSRs and Techs causing quite a bit of catastrophe on more than several occasions.
Freedom to work independently
The long answer, no. The short, no.
A layoff, in the middle of company "success and growth"
Yes. They are obeying the LAW. This question is a joke right?
Attitude towards older colleagues
I was laid off after two years. Another was "let go" for requesting to be reviewed for a raise. Then there was another who had a cardiovascular issue and was terminated for parking in the lot closer to the elevator, which could not be accessed from the other end of the building.
Certifications were requested, the materials provided contained information relevant to the certification you were testing for.
Overall compensation for your work
Minimal health insurance. Only Christmas and Thanksgiving are recognized as paid holidays. PTO is given as well, yet whether you actually get to use it depends.
Office / Work Environment
Chairs were comfortable, snacks sometimes available. Office is always cold, lighting and noise were agreeable however.
Not to my knowledge anymore. Havent stepped foot near the place since I was let go.
2 years, minimal absence, and didnt slack off, still was laid off.
As stated earlier. An employee with a cardiovascular issue was fired for parking in the lot where the elevator could be accessed.
Being told to withhold information from the person whom were hired to assist, doesnt make one very proud of their work.

Suggestions for improvement
- New president, new management, new business model.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
They lie to their clients and employees. Admins will treat techs like they're incompetant even so much as calling them such. Communiction was poor between management, the admin team, and techs. Policies would be changed with no prior notice.
