Some of the local management is great, but corporate is full of money grubbing big wigs who don't give a damn about there employees across the country.
Support from management
Again, loved working for my direct manager, but the main managers don't give a you know what about anyone.
While my department utilized amazing teamwork, often people were out for themselves only trying to get ahead. And the on camera talent have big heads, and often act like divas.
Freedom to work independently
There is no independent work here.
I stayed on a month extra for a great bonus that I was up for, then a week before I left I found out we would not be receiving the bonus we were promised. Just one small example.
Women experienced the same amount of successes as men.
Attitude towards older colleagues
One area they do well in, one of our engineers has been there for over 50 years.
Basically no upward mobility. Most people leave the company for better jobs after a few years slumming it here.
Overall compensation for your work
This is a very tough and demanding job that pays like absolute crap. Especially considering most of the positions require some level of college experience.
Office / Work Environment
Management makes it known you are an employee smaller than them. They do throw an ok 1 hour Christmas party every year.
Not too bad here. Not impossible to get time off in certain departments. But if your in production good luck!
They do try, but they will never catch up to the competition.
People are fired left and right for sometimes just not having the "it" factor.
There is never a dull moment.
Inclusive / Diverse
Probably just because it's Iowa but there wasn't diversity at all.
Suggestions for improvement
- Corporate needs to keep there word when bonuses are promised. Talent needs to realize they aren't celebrities and they are there to deliver the news.
What I like about the company
Like I said before you stay busy the whole time and often time flies by pretty well.
What I dislike about the company
I laid it all out above.
